David P. Lindquist

Nationally recognized dealer, lecturer, educator, appraiser, author and broadcaster, Mr. Lindquist has played a prominent part in the antiques industry for over 35 years.  He is a past president of the National Association of Dealers in Antiques and was a catalyst in the endowment of the Smithsonian Museum’s Cooper-Hewitt scholarship fund during his two terms.  Mr. Lindquist is also the author of a series of books on antique furniture and has written extensively for antiques trade journals, periodicals, and magazines.  As a sought-after authority on antiques, Lindquist has been featured in broadcasts such as ABC’s Prime Time Live  and HGTV’s Today at Home and Our Place.  With both a face and name well known in the antiques and decorative arts field, Lindquist is a popular speaker and perennial favorite for a host of events.

After 30 years practicing and teaching psychology, academic and not-for-profit administration, Bill Walker followed a life-long love of antiques into “the trade.” Barley Twist, his antiques shop in Oak Park, Illinois, opened in 2001.  Barley Twist is a nationally recognized source for English furniture and decorative accessories.  Traveling extensively, in the UK, in Western Europe, and in the United States and Canada, Bill has built an extensive network of sources to create interiors for which the English are known: timeless and warm reflecting comfort with the world at large. Still an “information gatherer and sharer” at heart, Bill speaks often on historical trends in décor, building collections and classic interiors.
